Job Description**Responsibilities:**
- Lead design and technical review processes for railway bridge projects, leveraging more than 10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years of specialized expertise in railway bridge engineering
- Conduct comprehensive structural analysis, validation, and assessment of bridge designs to ensure technical integrity and performance standards
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, building codes, and best practices applicable to railway infrastructure
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and design team members, fostering professional development and technical excellence
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, design specifications, and engineering reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate effectively with project stakeholders, contractors, regulatory authorities, and clients throughout the design and review phases
- Perform rigorous quality assurance reviews on all engineering deliverables and design outputs
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budget considerations for design and review phases
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex engineering challenges, design conflicts, and technical issues
- Stay current with emerging technologies, innovative methodologies, and industry advancements in railway bridge engineering and design practices
**Qualifications:**
**Required Qualifications:**
- Master's degree (M.Tech/M.E/M.S) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering
- Minimum 5 years of specialised experience in railway bridge design, analysis, or engineering review
- Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis, design methodologies, and bridge engineering principles
- Comprehensive knowledge of railway infrastructure standards, building codes, and safety regulations applicable to bridge construction
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills with the ability to prepare detailed engineering reports
- Proven experience in leading design reviews and quality assurance processes
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Professional Engineering qualification or membership with a recognised engineering body (e.g. Institution of Civil Engineers, Institute of Structural Engineers)
- Advanced certifications in railway engineering or bridge design
- Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and advanced design software
- Track record of mentoring and developing junior engineering professionals
- Published technical papers or contributions to industry advancements in railway bridge engineering
- Experience working on complex, large-scale railway infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and innovative methodologies in bridge design and construction
