Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Design Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery, planning, design, and execution of projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, keeping strong relationships with clients, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Be Doing;

  • Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction.

  • Manage and coordinate design interfaces with third parties, other design consultants, contractors, design reviewers among others.

  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop project designs.

  • Manage and coordinate with procurement and subconsultants to ensure full integration in design development.

  • Manage and ensure placement of subconsultants contracts, invoicing to clients and payments to subconsultants.

  • Review and approve design documents and drawings.

  • Monitor project budgets and control costs.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations.

  • Monitor progress and performance against project plans.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.

  • Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during project execution.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.

  • Allocate resources efficiently to meet project demands.

  • Lead and mentor project teams, including project coordinators, engineers, and contractors.

  • Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and client specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.

  • Define project deliverables and milestones.

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, or a related field. Having a Master’s degree is an advantage.

  • Minimum 20 years of experience in project management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role on large-scale infrastructure or developments

  • Demonstrated success managing multi-phase project delivery with complex interdependencies

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across design, supervision, and construction.

  • Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities.

  • In-depth knowledge of project delivery methodologies.

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.

  • Positive attitude, commitment to project delivery and deadlines achievement.

  • Familiarity with local authority and regulatory environments.

  • Background in client-side project management, construction management and/or design management.
