Job Description
Micron Technology, Inc. is a world leader in innovative memory and storage solutions. As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in creating and validating the digital, analog, and mixed‑signal circuits that power next‑generation memory technologies. You will collaborate globally across design, verification, product engineering, test, probe, process integration, assembly, and marketing teams to deliver industry‑leading products optimized for performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Responsibilities- Supply to new product development through the design, layout, and optimization of Memory/Logic/Analog circuits.
- Perform parasitic modeling and support design validation, reticle experiments, and tape‑out revisions.
- Coordinate and handle the physical layout process, including floor‑planning, placement, and routing.
- Implement verification processes using industry-standard modeling and simulation tools to ensure robust design performance.
- Collaborate across multi-functional groups to drive standardization, resolve issues, and enable team success.
- Work closely with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability and alignment throughout the product lifecycle.
- Engage with Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification teams to continuously improve design quality.
- Drive innovation and supply to future memory technology development in a dynamic engineering environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design principles.
- Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, Spectre, or similar industry-standard simulators.
- Understanding of semiconductor device fundamentals and VLSI concepts.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with memory circuit design (DRAM, NAND, NOR, etc.).
- Hands‑on exposure to parasitic extraction, modeling, and physical layout (floorplan, placement, routing).
- Familiarity with design-for-test (DFT) or product engineering processes.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools and scripting for design automation.
- Prior involvement in tape‑out, silicon bring-up, or reticle experiments.
