Job Details:
This position is responsible for creating future demand forecasts through a combination of market analysis, statistical modeling, and collaboration across the Planning organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the rolling 27‑month, item‑level demand forecast for an assigned business within Manugistics and SAP IBP.
- Review and maintain statistical algorithms within Manugistics and SAP IBP, adjusting historical patterns and future projections as needed.
- Maintain weekly item‑level Forecast Accuracy results and support related fill‑rate and distress metrics.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to understand all factors impacting the forecast, including merchandising, promotions, competitive activity, seasonality, retail consumption, customer behavior, pricing, and distribution.
- Facilitate monthly Demand meetings with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain partners.
- Execute daily analysis and reporting on demand performance, providing critical intelligence on business history, trends, and future assumptions.
- Act as the Demand S&OP process champion in cross‑functional meetings, influencing participants toward process adherence, adoption, and maturity.
Qualifications
Education:
- BS or BA degree preferred
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Familiarity with statistical algorithms (e.g., Fourier, Multiple Linear Regression) and statistical modeling principles preferred
- Strong computer skills; approximately 90% of work will utilize Manugistics Advanced Planning System (JDA) and SAP IBP
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multitask in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
- Experience working with a large national manufacturer or distributor in key supply chain areas such as Demand, Inventory, Distribution, and Production strongly preferred
Travel:
- 1–5 domestic trips per year
