POSITION TITLE: Senior Demand Analyst

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Leads and drives Clearfield's Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, converting sales, marketing, and customer input into a single, consensus demand forecast. Feeds that plan into Epicor Kinetic and the IP&O (Inventory Planning & Optimization) module, which translates it into purchasing and production signals, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Purchasing to balance demand with supply and support company growth objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and facilitate the monthly SIOP cycle, including the demand review, pre-SIOP alignment, and executive SIOP meetings.
  • Build and maintain statistical and collaborative demand forecasts, incorporating sales input, historical trends, seasonality, and market intelligence.
  • Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to capture new product introductions, promotions, and customer-specific demand signals.
  • Track and report forecast accuracy and bias, and lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of forecasting methods.
  • Feed the consensus demand plan into Epicor Kinetic, which translates it systematically into purchasing and production signals. Work with Purchasing and Operations to align material and capacity plans.
  • Configure and maintain forecasting parameters in Epicor's IP&O module (forecast models) to drive accurate, system-generated purchasing recommendations.
  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on Epicor Kinetic/IP&O for demand planning, partnering with IT/ERP administrators on configuration changes, upgrades, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare KPI dashboards and reporting (forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels) for SIOP and leadership reviews.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment discussions among Sales, Finance, Operations, and Purchasing to resolve demand/supply trade-offs.
  • Support scenario planning for new product launches, demand volatility, and capacity constraints.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the SIOP cadence, tools, and reporting.
  • Train and support internal stakeholders on demand planning processes and relevant Epicor functionality.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, SIOP/S&OP, or supply chain/materials management.
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP system for planning and purchasing; experience with Epicor Kinetic strongly preferred, IP&O (Inventory Planning & Optimization) module experience a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or facilitating a SIOP or S&OP process in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with demand planning or forecasting software is a plus.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CPF) preferred but not required.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule based out of the Brooklyn Park, MN area.

SALARY RANGE:

$86,000 – $107,500 – $129,000; Bonus Eligible

The salary range may be modified in the future, and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
