Position Description:
PingWind is seeking a Senior Database Programmer who is responsible for leading and participating in the development and maintenance of Cyber and IA database systems while also offering Database development resources to the development team. Required to review and provide technical solutions to projects which may be in different stages of the development life cycle. Requires knowledge and experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server DBMS, SQL Language, Unix/Linux including basic shell commands, data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling and monitoring tools, XML, HTML, open-source development, and technical documentation skills (Windows Office/Visio/Cvs, etc.).
Primary Responsibilities:
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
• Support the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse projects, including build-out of Dimensional Models.
• Responsible for performing data analysis activities to capture data requirements clearly, completely, and correctly while, at the same time, representing them in a formal and visual way through data models.
• Work through the early stages of the software lifecycle to profile data and to create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs with appropriate structure and relationships for optimal performance.
• Ensure the long-term reliability, scalability and maintainability of systems.
• Demonstrable specialized experience as a lead Database Programmer/Data Warehouse Administrator of a project with a comparable SQL Data Warehouse with scope similar in size and complexity to FTSMCS, or other Army projects that utilize the same or similar low code environment.
• Experience leading, planning, and updating large scale DoD data conversion projects.’
