Job Summary: We're looking for a highly skilled and seasoned Senior Database Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle Database Engineering and a strong command of cloud database solutions. With 15-18 years of hands-on experience, you'll be a critical, independent contributor responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing high-availability database systems across diverse engines. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and management of Oracle Databases in RAC and Grid environments, providing at least 2 years of production support within your experience.
• Deploy and maintain Oracle Grid Infrastructure (19c or higher) on Linux platforms.
• Expertly configure and manage ASM Cluster Filesystem, including adding disks and adhering to best practices, ensuring seamless operational delivery.
• Execute grid infrastructure patching and upgrades.
• Utilize Oracle Database Resource Manager to optimize resource allocation and performance.
• Drive database automation using Ansible, scripting, and other modern tools.
• Configure and manage huge pages on Linux for maximum performance.
• Provide robust production support for high-availability databases, minimizing downtime during critical outages.
• Design, configure, and support Oracle Active Data Guard for disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Architect and implement sophisticated database replication solutions using Oracle GoldenGate and enhance security with Oracle Advanced Security Option.
• Perform in-depth application/database troubleshooting during outages, delivering effective solutions and detailed Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks using tools like AWS Performance Insights, focusing on critical metrics such as elapsed times and throughput.
• Optimize low-performing application queries and enhance overall database efficiency.
• Provide expert support for a range of database engines, including PostgreSQL (Aurora), NoSQL (DynamoDB), and MySQL.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in PL/SQL for development and optimization.
• Proactively identify and optimize existing database queries for improved performance.
• Strategically assess and plan for scalable database growth, anticipating future business needs and architectural requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and Oracle Grid Infrastructure (19c+).
• Proven expertise in ASM Cluster Filesystem management and operational best practices.
• Deep understanding and practical experience with Oracle Active Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Mastery of database architecture, Oracle Advanced Security Option, and Oracle GoldenGate.
• Solid knowledge of cloud environments, particularly AWS and Oracle Cloud.
• Direct experience with AWS RDS infrastructure, including advanced use of Performance Insights.
• Exceptional skills in troubleshooting performance issues, query optimization, and resolving database bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with huge pages on Linux for performance tuning.
