Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be responsible for managing RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, optimizing performance, implementing replication and high availability, and providing support to development teams. Troubleshooting and problem-solving will be a key part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
- Ensure database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery across environments deployed on bare-metal servers and virtual machines
- Implement and manage replication сhains, partitioning / sharding, backups
- Assist development teams in creating, optimizing, and problem solving with RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
- Troubleshooting
- Drive automation using Terraform, Puppet, and custom tooling for infrastructure and database lifecycle management
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study
- Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
- Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL, DML, DCL)
- Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
- Proficiency in Linux
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
A plus if:
- Experience in scripting, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Bash/Python)
- Team management experience
- Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix
