Neo Group is on the lookout for a Database Administrator to join our Infrastructure and Operations Team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing server performance and fine-tuning parameters to ensure system stability.
- Setting up and maintaining replication, backups, and regular data integrity checks.
- Scaling databases to handle high loads.
- Configuring and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection.
- Assisting in selecting and optimizing server hardware for database-specific workloads.
- Providing recommendations for hardware selection based on different types of loads.
- Quickly responding to and resolving database-related incidents.
- Advising development teams on data structure design and optimization strategies.
- Automating routine tasks such as deployments, migrations, and monitoring.
- Continuously improving existing processes for better efficiency.
- Experience with high-load databases.
- Installation, configuration, and administration of database servers.
- Migration of database servers to newer versions.
- Setting up synchronous, asynchronous, and logical replication, including backup environments.
- Utilizing declarative partitioning.
- Installing and configuring pgbouncer, HAProxy.
- Performance tuning and optimizing configurations for high loads.
- Configuring authentication and authorization.
- Experience with MongoDB and Redis.
- Familiarity with MySQL.
- Knowledge and experience with ClickHouse.
- Strong knowledge of Unix-like OS (CentOS, Debian).
- Configuring and managing system resources to ensure database performance.
- Selecting and tuning server hardware for optimal database performance.
- Designing and setting up database and infrastructure monitoring.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch (ELK).
- Managing configurations with Ansible.
- Writing scripts (Bash, Python, or other languages) to automate routine tasks.
- Assisting with query optimization, diagnosing, and fixing bottlenecks.
- Working across multiple environments: production, staging, testing.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes is a plus.
