Job Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Data Warehouse Engineer sought by DISH Network LLC in Englewood, CO.
Work with business teams to provide analytical data for Dish. Support everyday operations, which will include documentation, and the monitoring and resolution of any issues that arise. Evangelize data engineering functions leveraging a Data Warehouse processing framework. Create and optimize data engineering pipelines for analytics projects. Build Enterprise data warehouse and data marts for the business. Support data and cloud transformation initiatives. Monitor AWS services and provide Cost optimization solutions. Contribute to our cloud strategy based on prior experience. Work with all stakeholders across the organization to deliver enhanced functionality. Production support for the all the data warehouse process. Performance tuning and enhancing the data warehouse processes.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or Lead Engineer/Software Engineer or similar roles. Also requires 5 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- Data warehouse applications development lifecycle, from gathering requirements, implementation, documentation, testing, maintenance, and prod support
- SQL and PL/SQL
- Control-M or Autosys.
Also requires 2 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- AWS and Google Cloud.
- Redshift
- Shell Scripts or Python scripts
- MongoDB
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $169,187.00/Year
