Position Essential Functions
  • Project management for various data analysis projects.

  • Present complex findings via reports, graphs, and interactive dashboards to stakeholders.

  • Proficient with business intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI.

  • Communicate and partner with stakeholders to define business problems and translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Data management using consent, clarity, consistency, control & transparency, and consequences in decision making.

  • Building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure.  

  • Plan and organize a component of an agency or institutional program or a major division, program, or function established to accomplish a basic goal or mission of the agency.

  • On-site attendance is an essential function of the position, as the role requires direct interaction with staff, clients, and on-site office resources.

  • Ability is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; to evaluate potential outcomes and design ways to use data to prove or disprove perspectives; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions; to organize and present facts and opinions; to plan, direct, and review the work of others; to analyze complex situations and make responsible decisions; to coordinate the work of organizational units; and to plan, direct, and coordinate the functions and activities of other governmental organizations. Typically, these positions provide state-wide services that are large in size, scope, and complexity

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise level. While performing the duties of the job, employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires regular periods of sitting or standing and daily use of computer and phone. It also requires the occasional use of the office machinery in accordance with safety and security protocols.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience substituting one year of professional experience for each year of the required education.

 

Special Skills/Requirements
  • Computer Skills – Employee must be capable of proficiently using the OESC’s standard software (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Teams), and the Internet, as well as proficiency to learn other software as needed.

  • Employee must be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving objects of up to 25 pounds.
