Mō te tūranga | About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist. This role can be based in Wellington or Christchurch.

The role is responsible for delivering high-value data science solutions by applying advanced analytics and machine learning across the full model lifecycle.

Āu mahi | What you’ll be doing

• Advanced analytics, machine learning, statistical techniques to design, prototype and build high-value analytical solutions.
• Building repeatable, interpretable, scalable models to embed into analytics data products and workflows.
• Leading end-to-end lifecycle (feature engineering, model selection, validation, deployment support, and ongoing monitoring and maintenance) for accuracy, safety, and usefulness over time.

Ngā pukenga kei a koe mō tēnei tūranga | What you’ll bring

• You’ll need to be strongly proficient in Python and complex SQL.
• You’ll have experience building models that are utilised in business-critical decision making.
• You’ll have hands on experience across full data science lifecycle and production data.
• You’ll have a maths or statistics background, ideally with experience within an engineering discipline.
• You’ll have a growth mindset and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• You’d ideally have a Computer Science or Engineering degree.
