We will count on you to:
- Classify, understand, and predict behavior patterns related to employee health and benefits, with a strong emphasis on utilizing health insurance data.
- Apply your expertise in machine learning and statistical modelling to develop robust, scalable solutions that enhance our business strategy and client offerings.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Python and industry-standard ML frameworks.
- Validate and monitor model performance, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and reliability over time.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Communicate findings and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay current with the latest research and advancements, proactively recommending new techniques and tools to enhance our analytics capabilities.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes and knowledge sharing.
What you need to have:
- At least 4 years of academic or industry experience, designing and implementing ML models with a focus on predictive and behavioural analytics.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and integration.
- Proficiency in Python and popular ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to maintain discretion and deal appropriately with confidential information.

- Experience in the employee health and benefits, or in the health insurance industry.
- Experience in public health analytics.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, especially their ML and data services.
- Strong data manipulation and programming skills beyond Python, such as using R or SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior team members.
- Commercial awareness of how analytics drives business value in health and benefits.
- Curious, self-driven, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
