Position SummaryThe Senior Data Scientist collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to develop advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions that enhance performance across retail, pharmacy, and financial domains. This role builds agentic AI systems, predictive models, and scalable data products using modern cloud platforms, including Google Cloud (BigQuery, Vertex AI, ADK), Palantir Foundry, and other enterprise analytics tools.
The ideal candidate is highly technical, proactive in exploring emerging technologies, and comfortable translating complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leaders and cross-functional partners.
- 3+ years of professional experience delivering analytical or AI solutions with measurable business impact.
- 2+ years of programming experience in Python, SQL, or PySpark, including hands-on experience building AI agents or using modern AI frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience with business intelligence or dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- 2+ years working in a cloud environment such as GCP (highly preferred), Azure, AWS, or Snowflake.
- Experience with core GCP data & AI services, including:
- BigQuery for large-scale data processing
- Vertex AI for model training, deployment, and MLOps
- GCP Agent Developer Kit (ADK) for building agentic AI workflows
- Additional GCP services such as Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Looker, or Dataproc
- Ability to design and implement robust data pipelines, algorithms, and system interfaces supporting scalable analytics and AI applications.
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including ontology design, transformations, operational workflows, or Foundry application development.
- Experience with modern machine learning platforms or distributed computing frameworks (e.g., GCP AI Platform, Spark).
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or payer analytics background, particularly in finance, contract modeling, or performance analytics.
- Deep understanding of machine learning, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, experimentation, or optimization, with expertise in at least one specialty area (e.g., causal inference, generative AI, reinforcement learning, or LLM-based systems).
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, adopt, and implement emerging AI and cloud technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering) with 4–7+ years of relevant experience,
OR - Master’s degree or equivalent in an analytic discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
