Senior/Principal Data Scientist

PURPOSE: 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team and drive strategic decision-making through advanced data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of industry experience, a strong foundation in machine learning, statistical analysis, and big data technologies, and excellent English communication skills. You should bring a deep understanding of ML frameworks, model optimization techniques, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable intelligence across a range of real-world use cases. 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 10+ years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or quantitative modeling roles
• Strong background in statistical modeling, optimization, and applied machine learning
• Proven experience working on pricing, revenue, demand, or related commercial models
• Ability to clearly explain complex analytical concepts to business and technical audiences
• Experience working closely with business analysts and senior client stakeholders
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and common data science libraries and tools
• Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• PhD strongly preferred for candidates focused on advanced modeling or optimization

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• End-to-End Pricing Models: Own pricing and optimization models from problem definition and methodology selection through validation, deployment, and iteration.
• Model Strategy & Decision-Making: Define overall modeling strategy, select appropriate methodologies, and make informed trade-offs aligned with business objectives.
• Pricing Analytics Collaboration: Partner with Senior Data and Business Analysts to understand pricing logic, levers, assumptions, and operational constraints.
• Statistical & Analytical Modeling: Design, build, and validate statistical and analytical models that accurately represent pricing behavior.
• Business Rule Translation: Convert business pricing rules into scalable, explainable, and production-ready models.
• Client Engagement: Work directly with client teams to review assumptions, validate outputs, and present model results in a clear and business-aligned manner.
• Model Interpretability & Transparency: Ensure models are interpretable, transparent, and aligned with business intent and stakeholder expectations.
• Production Deployment: Collaborate with engineering teams to operationalize models and support smooth deployment into production environments.
• Documentation & Communication: Document model logic, assumptions, and limitations in a way that is accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Iterate on models based on business feedback, monitoring results, and real-world performance.
