Senior Data Scientist

To fully leverage the potential of our data platform and deliver value across the company, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist who is not afraid to dive into complex data structures, understands business needs, and can design and implement meaningful data solutions—from prototypes to production models.

Your impact at NN

As a Senior Data Scientist at NN, you will have a unique opportunity to transform complex data structures into practical solutions that bring real value across the organization. Your main task will be to connect our modern data platform with business needs, from analyzing new data sources and designing prototypes to deploying production models. You will work closely with teams in areas such as operations, sales, underwriting, claims, or compliance to create AI use cases with real impact.

What you will do

• Define data monetization use cases (new revenue, process optimization).

• Conduct data discovery and mapping to identify proper data for use cases (understand data sources, structures, and relationships).

• Analyze datasets to find insights, uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities.

• Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms, test, adopt and implement predictive models developed by vendors.

• Communicate findings clearly to colleagues.

• Develop and validate prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions for use cases.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers to handover prototypes for productionization.

• Continuously improve analytics processes and help to solve data quality issues.

What you bring

• A completed Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or data engineering.

• Proficiency in SQL and Power BI.

• Experience with machine learning techniques and statistical modeling.

• Strong understanding of experimental design, model validation, and performance metrics.

• Advanced proficiency in Czech and English, with strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

How we hire

After reviewing your application, including your CV in English, you will receive a short phone call from Petra (Talent Acquisition Partner) to discuss basic details about your previous work experience and the open position. If everything goes well, we will meet online (if face to face is not possible for any reason) for two interview rounds. One of the rounds will be an open discussion with Petra and Pavel (Head of Data), focusing on your knowledge, expectations, and all relevant details about the role. The second one will be more technical, and we will invite one or two members of our current team.
