Principal Data Scientist

Your new adventure:

• Take the lead on strategic data science discipline and initiatives that align with our business goals, helping shape how we use AI, analytics, and machine learning to drive impact.
• Own and lead data-science projects from start to finish— discovery & problem framing, data wrangling, modeling & experimentation, deployment or handover to engineering, etc.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (think product, marketing, operations) to identify high-impact, data-driven opportunities, partnering with engineering to develop and deploy solutions.
• Mentor and guide other data scientists, grow the data science community, and be a multiplier by spreading AI and data science fluency across the company.
• Build, refine, and scale cutting-edge ML models, solutions, and algorithms—while rigorously weighing build-vs-buy trade-offs—to deliver the highest-impact approach within real-world constraints.
• Communicate the value and progress of data science initiatives (at all stages) to senior stakeholders, turning complex work into actionable strategic insights.
• Collaborate with ML platform teams to ensure data scientists can easily access, experiment, and iterate fast on high-quality data and models, including using shared tooling like a feature store, experiment tracking systems, etc.
• Inspire responsible and creative usage of data and AI, weaving fairness, transparency, and explainability into how we innovate—guided by our values, the evolving landscape of AI, and a focus on fast, meaningful impact.
• Stay sharp—continuously keep up with emerging tools, trends, and techniques in machine learning, AI, and data science.

Does this sound like you?

• You bring 7+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with proven success in delivering impactful models and insights. (If you’re more experienced—great! We’re open to highly seasoned candidates, too.)
• You’ve led or heavily influenced data science projects end-to-end, from ideation to deployment.
• You’re proficient in Python, SQL, and the usual suspects (Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.). Familiarity with LLMs and Generative AI is a strong plus.
• You love solving complex business problems with a mix of data, creativity, and discipline.
• You're comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences—whether it’s your peers, the C-suite, or the conference crowd.
• You stay up to date with the latest in AI, ML, and data science trends—not just for curiosity’s sake, but because you see how they can bring value.
• You may have mentored or guided other data scientists, and you're excited about being a thought partner in a growing, fast-paced, and forward-thinking team.
• You hold a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Applied experience at a high level is often preferred, especially when paired with a track record of impact.
