FloSports is an innovative digital sports media company.
The Role

FloSports is a global sports media company transforming how fans watch and engage with live sports. Through exclusive partnerships and dedicated platforms, FloSports serves die-hard communities in more than 25 sports—many of which are overlooked by traditional media. With over 50,000 live events streamed annually and a growing library of original programming, FloSports is reshaping the sports media landscape for passionate fans worldwide.

We’re a team of builders, storytellers, and sports fanatics working to spotlight the moments and athletes that matter most—and we're just getting started.

THE ROLE:

FloSports Business Intelligence (BI) team owns company-wide reporting, analytics, and insights, our Snowflake data infrastructure, our ML/AI models, and is a partner to Product and Product Marketing for experiment design and analysis, as well as marketing and growth analytics. Our BI team is seeking a Data Scientist, Experimentation & Growth Analytics, to join our high-impact group and drive innovative and cutting edge data science for our experimentation platform and marketing insights and analytics.

We're seeking a Data Scientist with deep expertise in A/B testing and causal inference who has prior oversight experience for experimentation and marketing analytics. In this role, you'll design and scale our experimentation framework while partnering with product, engineering, and BI teams to measure how product changes and new experiences impact our customers. Success in this role requires strong partnerships with marketing and the experiment growth team, along with the ability to translate business and product needs into effective technical solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the full lifecycle of A/B and multivariate experiments across web, mobile, and connected TV platforms.

  • Develop causal modeling techniques (e.g., diff-in-diff, propensity matching, synthetic control) for scenarios where randomized experiments are not feasible.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure experiments and forecasting models are well-aligned with company growth goals, providing data-driven insights for product planning and strategic decisions.

  • Partner with product and engineering to improve our experimentation tooling, including test setup automation, metric tracking, and diagnostics for common failure modes.

  • Help define experimentation success across the org. Create guardrails and north star metrics that are statistically sound and product-relevant.

  • Analyze key business metrics across the funnel to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.

  • Create personalized segmentation strategies leveraging propensity models to enable campaign personalization.

  • Revise attribution modeling by leveraging industry best practices and integrating into subscription and demand forecasting workflows to enable marketing to scale across the most effective channels and grow revenue.

  • Measure and quantify the incremental impact of growth initiatives, marketing campaigns, and product features to optimize return on investment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • BA/BS in Mathematics/Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or other technical field, advanced analytics degrees preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in a data science or quantitative analysis role, ideally with a product-focused organization. Bonus points for familiarity with subscription-based DTC businesses, OTT products, and/or SVOD and live event streaming services.

  • Proficiency in causal inference methodologies and experience applying them to real-world business problems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly communicating complex data concepts, to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with Bayesian statistical modeling and inference, with the ability to use these methods to analyze experimental data and inform decision-making.

BONUS POINTS:

  • Experience with Streamlit in Snowflake for turning data and ML models into interactive apps with Python.
