As a Senior Data Scientist, your role will be mission-critical, and you will be central to shaping the core communication infrastructure of the NHS. You'll directly enable faster, safer, and more accessible patient care by owning the design, execution, and analysis of complex experiments and A/B tests to inform product strategy. You will also mature our data science capabilities from descriptive to predictive and prescriptive, and ultimately drive the success of the company's first ML model in production.
The Unique Challenges You'll Solve:

At Accurx, data won't just support decisions, it will shape strategy, spark innovation, and connect healthcare teams. You'll be:

• Leading the end-to-end development, deployment, and monitoring of our first machine learning model in production.

• Driving strategic product direction by using predictive and prescriptive models to identify new opportunities and improve user experience.

• Translating complex data insights into clear, concise, and actionable narratives for diverse stakeholders across the business.

• Maturing the company data culture so that decisions are supported and/or driven by data, ensuring that speed comes with direction.

• Mentoring other data scientists and analysts in model development, best practices, and productionisation.

What We're Looking For:

We need a Senior Data Scientist who embodies our Principles and thrives on significant challenges. We're seeking the core skills below, coupled with a mindset ready for real impact.

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong background in experimentation design (including A/B testing), statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.

• Demonstrable experience building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade machine learning models.

• Strong hands-on experience with complex SQL (preferably in an analytical environment like Snowflake).

• Advanced proficiency in Python, including experience with key machine learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps principles.

• Experience working closely with product teams to identify trends, set success metrics, and establish OKRs.

• Practical experience in expressing modelling results using visualisation techniques.

• Experience with private and sensitive data, and knowledge of best practices for keeping it safe and anonymous.
