ROLE SUMMARY:
Anheuser-Busch, LLC seeks a full-time Sr. Data Scientist based in New York, NY. The Sr. Data Scientist will develop advanced machine learning and statistical models to forecast sales and optimize business operations such as pricing, promotions, and supply chain planning. This role involves end-to-end solution development using Python, from data exploration and feature engineering to production deployment following best coding practices. The candidate will collaborate cross-functionally, create metric dashboards, and communicate insights that drive strategic decision-making. Experience with deep learning, econometric modeling, and A/B testing is essential. This hybrid position requires 3 days per week in-office in New York, NY, with quarterly domestic travel.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:
Develop machine learning forecast models for the sale volume from different beer products and wholesalers in the U.S.
Apply statistical/econometric and machine learning methods to build data science solutions that meet a certain threshold of difficulty to solve business problems, such as assortment optimization, price and promotions, demand planning, supply and logistics, and omni-channel analytics.
Perform detailed thought process in developing solutions to business questions/problems, and utilize Python for data science, visualization, and scripting, as well as moving code into production via version controls, PEP8 standards, writing doc strings, unit tests and creating supporting artefacts to share with the business for approval.
Explore data, hypothesis formulation, and data wrangling that enriches understanding, and creates clean data for analysis.
Build code that builds reproducible results and is written as per team’s design practices.
Perform statistical/econometric modeling, including time series, regression methods, Bayesian statistics, and non-parametric estimation methods.
Collaborate with others to advance the team's ability to build quality solutions and adapt quickly.
Design or influence the creation of critical metric dashboards that monitor the quality of solutions and measure value.
Communicate and present results to the business in a clear, concise manner that helps drive decision making.
Utilize experience in feature engineering, training models, evaluating the efficiency of models, setting up A/B tests with the ability to fine tune based on business feedback; and with Machine/Deep Learning methods, including Boosted and Bagging methods, Neural Nets, Deep Nets, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning.
Domestic travel required once per quarter for planning cycle. This position is a hybrid role with an in-office requirement of 3 days per week. Worker must live within a commutable distance of New York, NY and be able to work in-office as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires Ph.D. or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field and one year of data science experience OR Master’s degree or equivalent in the same fields and three years of data science experience.
Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following:
1) Developing machine learning forecast models;
2) Applying statistical/econometric and machine learning methods to build data science solutions that meet a certain threshold of difficulty to solve business problems;
3) Using Python for data science, visualization, and scripting, as well as moving code into production via version controls, PEP8 standards, writing doc strings, unit tests and creation of supporting artefacts to share with business for approval;
