The Role

Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist with expertise in fintech and regtech to join our team. The ideal candidate will leverage Deep Learning, Machine learning, and statistical modeling to drive insights and support compliance and decision-making across the organization.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with data engineering and ETL processes.
  • Understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance analytics.
  • Experience with deploying LLMs to production environments. 
  • Experience with Computer Vision modeling techniques. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance and risk management, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to financial services and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to address business problems in the fintech and regtech sectors.
  • Conduct experiments to optimize processes and strategies within regulatory frameworks.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations using data-driven insights.
  • Present findings to stakeholders, providing recommendations for compliance and operational efficiency based on data analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in fintech and regtech data science.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role, preferably in fintech or regtech. 
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with databases SQL, MongoDB or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance issues is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
