Responsible for utilizing advanced predictive modeling techniques to support consumer-facing digital products. This position designs studies, tests hypotheses, and translates data into actionable plans. Additionally, this role generates solutions to business problems through data modeling and analytics. In addition, this position collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement machine learning and cloud-based analytic solutions. Finally, this role mentors data scientists and communicates findings to leadership through data visualization and reports.
- Transforms large amounts of complex data into business insights and solutions using statistics, machine learning, pattern recognition, text mining, and parallel/distributed computing. Identifies data abnormalities and their root causes, and suggests possible steps for mitigation.
- Performs ad-hoc studies and develops analytic reports.
- Formulates validation strategies to ensure accurate and reliable data.
- Follows best practices for developing analytic methodologies and software.
- Advocates and educates on the value of data-driven decision making, focusing on the “how and why” of solving problems.
- Leads analytic approaches, integrating work into applications and tools with data engineers, business leads, analysts, and developers.
- Creates iterative, interpretable, dynamic, and scalable models that are seamlessly incorporated into analytic data products based on feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Engineers features by combining disparate internal and external structured and unstructured data sets and sources.
- Shares passion for Data Science with the broader enterprise community; develops long-term processes, frameworks, tools, methods, and standards.
- Stays connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Healthcare Business Acumen & Industry Knowledge: [Required]
- Strong record of healthcare data mining experience with results [Required]

- Experience working with a healthcare data platform such as the Epic and Cerner [Required]
