About the Role
As a Senior II Data Scientist, you will lead the development of innovative AI solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic AI systems. You will work closely with product managers, domain experts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, production-ready solutions while contributing directly to software development and continuous innovation.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects (leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows), from problem definition and experimentation through deployment, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
Monitor, evaluate and optimize AI system performance using metrics, user feedback, and experimentation frameworks.
Partner with product managers, domain experts, and stakeholders to prioritize opportunities while communicating results and tradeoffs.
Contribute directly to software development as an individual contributor.
Design and implement scalable AI solution architectures, including data ingestion, retrieval, generation, and evaluation components.
Build and enhance RAG-based applications and AI-powered products.
Collaborate across teams to identify and solve complex information retrieval and NLP challenges.
Support the continuous improvement of AI systems through experimentation, testing, and performance analysis.
Requirements
2 to 5 years of experience in Data Scientist or similar roles.
At least 1 year of hands-on experience building RAG-based applications and agentic AI systems.
Ability to design and explain end-to-end AI solution architectures, including data ingestion, retrieval, generation, and evaluation components.
Strong proficiency in Python, modern AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Google ADK), cloud-based development, and software engineering best practices for production of AI systems.
Experience working with NLP, document processing, search, recommendation systems, or related information retrieval problems.
Familiarity with embeddings, vector search, and retrieval mechanisms.
Ability to evaluate AI system performance and diagnose issues related to answer quality, retrieval, hallucinations, or model behavior.
Experience implementing agentic workflows and multi-agent architectures.
Proven ability to work closely with Product and stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into scalable AI solutions.
Strong communication skills in English, including the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
