As we continue to invest in data modernisation, governance and technology transformation, we are seeking a Senior Data Quality & Governance Consultant to bring fresh insights and expertise to our Data Team.  This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how data is governed, managed and trusted across the organisation, while helping establish a new capability that will support business decision-making for years to come.

  
Role Overview 
Our Data Team plays a key role in enabling trusted, data-driven decision making across Carnival UK. Working alongside data architects, engineers, product owners, DBAs and business stakeholders, you will become our dedicated specialist for Data Quality and Governance, helping to define standards, establish best practice and improve the quality of data across the organisation.  
This pivotal role will involve: 

  • Leading the development and implementation of data quality and governance frameworks, controls and monitoring processes across the organisation. 
  • Creating automated data quality checks within data pipelines and reporting solutions, providing meaningful insight into data quality performance and improvement over time. 
  • Owning governance activities including business glossaries, metadata management, data lineage and data stewardship processes. 
  • Working with stakeholders across technology and the wider business to embed governance principles, resolve data quality issues and drive adoption of best practice. 
     

This role is positioned at CUK08 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time, permanent basis. We offer hybrid working including up to two days from home.  

What You'll Bring 
Your unique background and skills are what will make you stand out. We're looking for: 

  • Strong experience designing and implementing data governance and data quality frameworks. 
  • Advanced SQL skills, with experience applying data quality controls and analysis within complex data environments. 
  • Experience with metadata management, data lineage, governance tooling and data catalogues. 
  • Experience working with modern data platforms and technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, Python and dashboarding solutions. 

A relevant data management qualification, such as DAMA or CDMP, would be beneficial but is not essential.
