About the role

As a Senior Data Product Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of the Data Product strategy and portfolio within a business domain, shaping how data is used to solve meaningful business challenges and create measurable value.

Whether your domain is Customer, Marketplace, Finance, Procurement, Pricing or Marketing, you will define the product vision, translate complex business challenges into scalable Data Products, and ensure that the solutions we build are adopted and create measurable impact.

Working at the intersection of business, product and data, you will have the autonomy to challenge assumptions, identify the opportunities that matter most, and bring business stakeholders and cross-functional Data & AI teams together around a clear product direction.

This is not a traditional requirements-management role. We are looking for someone who thinks in problems, outcomes and products rather than requests and individual reports.

Job Description

Our tech environment

You don’t need to be a Data Engineer or build complex data models yourself, but you should be comfortable navigating a modern data environment, understanding analytical concepts, and challenging solutions together with technical experts.

Databricks • Power BI • Microsoft Fabric • Azure Cloud • Modern Data Platforms • Data Products • Data Insights & Metrics • Jira • Confluence

About your tasks

  • Own the Data Product strategy and portfolio within your domain, translating business challenges into scalable, reusable Data Products and analytical capabilities with clear business outcomes.
  • Define and drive the product vision and roadmap, identifying the most valuable problems to solve and prioritizing opportunities based on business value, strategic relevance, user needs and available capacity.
  • Act as the primary product counterpart for senior business stakeholders, creating transparency around priorities, dependencies, trade-offs and delivery while ensuring clear alignment between business and Data & AI.
  • Challenge requirements and identify the underlying business problem, moving conversations from individual requests towards reusable solutions that create value for a broader group of users.
  • Drive adoption and value realization, using product metrics, usage insights, stakeholder feedback and business KPIs to understand whether Data Products are being used and delivering the expected outcomes.
  • Lead through a cross-functional matrix organization, working closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Forward Deployed Engineers, DataOps and functional leadership to translate product priorities into successful delivery.
  • Own product backlog and prioritization, creating clarity around what the team works on and why, while balancing new business capabilities, technical improvements, migration activities and operational requirements.
  • Support the transition towards self-service analytics, ensuring Data Products are understandable, reusable and accessible to their target users and identifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary dependency on central teams.
  • Continuously improve the Data Product portfolio, identifying duplication, gaps, dependencies and opportunities for reuse across products and domains.

Qualifications

About you

  • You bring 6+ years of relevant product experience, with strong experience specifically in Data Product Management, Analytics Products or data-intensive products, rather than purely digital or feature-based product management.
  • You have strong experience within at least one relevant business or data domain, such as Customer, Marketplace, Finance, Procurement, Pricing or Marketing, and understand how to translate domain challenges into valuable data capabilities.
  • You are confident owning product strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, adoption metrics and business outcomes and are comfortable engaging and challenging senior stakeholders.
  • You don’t simply collect requirements. You are comfortable asking why, challenging assumptions and helping stakeholders distinguish between what they initially request and what they actually need.
  • You understand the difference between delivering a dashboard and building a scalable Data Product that can support multiple users, analytical use cases and future capabilities.
  • You have enough technical understanding of modern data platforms, data modelling and analytics to work effectively with technical teams, understand architectural trade-offs and challenge proposed solutions.
  • Experience with Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Azure is highly beneficial, but strong Data Product experience within another modern cloud data ecosystem is equally relevant.
  • You are comfortable working in a matrix organization, where Product Management owns the product direction and priorities while Data Engineering and Data Analytics leadership own people development, functional excellence and technical capabilities.
  • You communicate complex topics clearly, create alignment across different perspectives and are comfortable making transparent prioritization decisions when not everything can be delivered at once.
  • Most importantly, you combine business curiosity, product thinking and data understanding and are motivated by seeing people actually use the products you build to make better decisions.
