We are looking for a Senior Data Product Manager(full-time) to join our Data team in Berlin.
At Babbel, data is an important strategic asset. We are on our journey to foster a product mindset for data and build a DataOps culture at Babbel. We are looking for a Product Owner to be a core part of that journey. You will be responsible for driving the development and management of our data products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan the roadmap, and prioritize features for our data products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will:
- Define the Vision: Develop and communicate a clear roadmap for the Data and Platform, aligning with company objectives and stakeholder needs
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with data engineering, data scientists, analytics, product, and business teams to understand needs and priorities
- Product Development: Conduct discovery, work closely with engineering teams to define specifications, manage backlogs, quality test, and oversee the iterative delivery of new features.
- Data Governance: Advocate for robust data governance, ensuring compliance, security, risk management and data quality across the platform
- Performance Metrics: Deliver measurable impact with KPIs for platform success, monitor adoption, scalability, and performance.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in Data and AI Platforms
You have:
- 5+ years of experience in product management
- Strong technical background, with experience in data analytics and/or data engineering
- Proven track record of managing successful data products from ideation to launch
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
