Phillips Lytle is looking to expand our talent within our Litigation Practice with the addition of a seasoned data privacy and cyber security lawyer.


Phillips Lytle has an excellent reputation and a roster of high-profile clients, including Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 companies in industries such as financial services, environmental and land use, telecommunications, technology, manufacturing, healthcare and life sciences.


The Data Privacy and Cyber Security team is seeking a senior lawyer with at least 8 years of experience handling complex data, privacy, cybersecurity, and related regulatory issues for a range of companies across multiple industries. Candidates should have deep experience with some or all of the following: advising companies on US federal and state privacy laws and global regulations as applicable, drafting privacy policies, developing and implementing internal data protection programs, counseling on business and legal incident responses to security breaches, and advising on privacy issues associated with AI, health data, biometric data and other sensitive information. Experience with computer programming, network technologies, database design and a CIPP or other advanced certification (s) are all pluses but not required. Some portable business is also a plus.


Applicants should have superior academic credentials and strong analytical, drafting, leadership and communication skills.

Annual salary range for this position is $152,000-$225,000. Actual pay may be adjusted based on location, experience, volume and nature of portable business, or other job-related factors permitted by law.
