The OpportunityThe Senior Data Manager (SDM) is a crucial role responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and availability of clinical trial data to inform decision-making in early- and late-stage drug development. Collaborating with Biostatistics, Analytical Data Science, Clinical Operations, and other cross-functional teams, you'll lead and oversee data management processes to ensure regulatory compliance, efficiency, and data readiness for analysis.
Manage end-to-end data management activities for multiple studies, from CRF and database design to final study closure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data specifications, ensure data quality, and meet study requirements.
Optimize site performance by driving timely data entry and query resolution in partnership with Clinical Operations.
Address complex data challenges using a risk-based approach, leveraging systems like EDC, ePRO, and IRT.
Implement and refine data processes, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements.
Oversee vendor performance to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
Share technical knowledge to enhance team practices and encourage continuous improvement initiatives.
We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to lead clinical data management processes while driving quality and efficiency improvements. These qualifications will set you apart:
Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in computer science, life sciences, informatics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical data management, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
Hands-on experience with clinical trial data, including CRF design, database setup, non-CRF data acquisition and query resolution.
Proficiency in data management tools and systems, e.g., EDC, ePRO, and familiarity with CDISC standards.
Strong knowledge of clinical data types and their relevance to analysis, including risk-based monitoring practices.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple projects.
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, Python) and data workflows is a plus.
