Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Management Analyst
In this role, you will:
- Perform data profiling and analysis to assess structure, content, and relationships within datasets; identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and control gaps.
- Develop and maintain data quality standards, rules, and documentation, ensuring alignment with governance policies and compliance requirements.
- Design and execute data validation, cleansing, and auditing processes, including defining data quality metrics and benchmarking the state of data quality.
- Analyze and test data controls and systems to ensure adherence to quality, risk, and governance standards; recommend improvements for processes and controls.
- Generate and present data quality reports and dashboards to stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Lead or participate in data quality, governance, and metadata initiatives, driving planning and coordination for remediation efforts and acting as a central point of contact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including data engineers, business partners, and governance groups-to resolve data issues and implement optimal solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring data quality problems and develop preventive measures leveraging domain expertise and business/process analysis.
- Consult with clients and stakeholders to assess current state of data and metadata quality and provide input into communication routines and governance strategies.
- Support & drive Process improvement and Automation opportunities of Data Quality landscape
- Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to companywide data governance strategies and best practices.
- 4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong understanding of data profiling techniques, data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, timeliness, uniqueness).
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data quality tools (e.g., Ab Initio, Informatica, Qualytics).
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field; 4+ years of experience in data quality or data management roles.
