Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the development and continuous evolution of AI ethics governance processes and best practices in line with the Bank’s strategies and objectives, along with evolving industry standards.
• Perform assessments and validation of AI models using the Veritas Assessment Methodology to ensure compliance with FEAT (Fairness, Ethics, Accountability, Transparency) principles.
• Support the development and maintenance of FEAT-related guidelines and procedures.
• Support the operation of the Data and AI Committee that governs AI risks.
• Perform independent AI/Data ethics validation on AIDA models and approve the usage of models that have properly considered ethical principles from both internal processes and customers' perspectives.
• Promote education and develop training, awareness, and adoption programs on AI Ethics principles (e.g., FEAT) and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects related to AI risk management and ethical AI innovation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and emerging industry standards related to AI ethics; provide recommendations for compliance and risk mitigation.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, or related disciplines with at least 2-5 years of working experience in the banking industry or consulting industry with strong exposure to Financial Services.
• Foundational knowledge and strong interest in AI ethics and governance, including awareness of financial industry best practices and regulatory landscape.
• Awareness of MAS FEAT principles, Veritas Assessment Methodology, and strong interest in responsible AI practices.
• Ethics, legal, compliance, audit, or AI model validation experience is a plus.
• Good project management and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage different stakeholders across the Bank and navigate conflicts with ease.
• Demonstrated ability as a team player and to run initiatives independently.
• Good written/oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle management, including model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR) and their implications on AI ethics and responsible AI.
• Experience with AI risk assessment frameworks or ethical AI validation tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Python for tasks such as data analysis, model validation scripting, and automation of assessment processes.
