We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Big Data technologies to build and maintain scalable, high-performance data systems. This role involves designing robust data pipelines, enabling analytics, and supporting real-time and batch data processing use cases.
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing reliable data infrastructure that powers reporting, analytics, and advanced data applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, scalability, and performance while adhering to best practices in data engineering and governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
- Develop and optimize data models using dbt.
- Build, manage, and optimize data warehouses in BigQuery.
- Implement ELT/ETL processes for structured and semi-structured data.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance optimization across pipelines.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams.
- Optimize query performance and ensure cost efficiency in BigQuery.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and validation frameworks for data pipelines.
- Support real-time analytics use cases (experience with Apache Pinot is a plus).
- Maintain documentation and follow data governance best practices

- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in BigQuery and Big Data concepts.
- Good understanding and working experience with dbt.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex transformations and query optimization.
- Experience designing scalable data models and data architecture.
- Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Strong knowledge of data performance tuning and cost optimization.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Apache Pinot (real-time OLAP systems).
- Experience with streaming pipelines (Pub/Sub, Kafka, etc.).
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
- Experience working in high-volume production environments.
