At Ayvens Digital & IT we have an opening for a Data Engineer in the
central data engineering team.

We are looking for a seasoned data engineer with deep technical expertise as well as a strong understanding of cloud
engineering, data engineering, and data architecture. We are consolidating our
data platforms in Azure and AWS into a target architecture on Azure.  That
means you will work in a multi-cloud environment, run high stakes workloads in
AWS and Azure platforms, and participate in projects to re-architect and
re-implement data products on the target platform. 

Your responsibilities will include:
    • Running data workloads on AWS and Azure, ensuring they meet SLAs
    • Improving governance on AWS and Azure data platforms
    • Decommissioning workloads that are no longer required
    • Re-architecting and re-implementing workloads that need to migrate to the target platform.
    • Navigate code repositories, production workloads, and understand their architecture.
    • Advise on architecture decisions, translate that into implementation designs,
and code, as one of the lead developers on the team.
    • Manage expectations of stakeholders, and advise them on the benefits and risk of the architecture decisions you take.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate has the interpersonal skills necessary to manage and build
relationships across multiple departments and geographical locations.
Collaboration and transparent decision making are examples of key behaviors
reflecting the agile culture of Ayvens. You have experience in a similar role,
preferably hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and you have, or aspire to have:
    • 8+ years of experience in data platforms and data engineering, especially in cloud ecosystems.
    • A proven track record of delivering complex data products.
    • Expertise in ELT flows using Databricks (PySpark), ADLS, ADF, SQL, and Python.
    • Expertise in ELT flows using AWS Glue (PySpark), S3, Airflow, DBT, SQL, and Snowflake.
    • Experience with DevOps CI/CD and GIT.
    • Experience with infra as code approaches such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
    • Experience with Linux, Docker and Kubernetes.
    • A software engineering background as a plus.
    • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
