Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer. This role requires expertise in Databricks, SQL, and ETL pipelines, with strong experience building scalable data frameworks to support enterprise decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, test, and maintain enterprise-scale data pipelines.
Develop and optimize ETL processes, data structures, and database solutions.
Create SQL queries, reports, and dashboards to support business needs.
Automate workflows using Databricks Workflows and Jobs API.
Support code deployment and integration through CI/CD best practices.
Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities.
Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.

Qualifications:

Active Secret clearance is mandatory.
7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
Expert-level proficiency in Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL.
Strong Python and SQL development skills.
Experience with ETL technologies such as Kafka, Airflow, and AWS Glue.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub/GitLab version control.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
Local residency in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC.

Clearance Requirement:

Active Secret clearance (mandatory requirement).
