The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable, reliable data solutions that power analytics, reporting and operational outcomes across the organisation. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end data pipelines and platforms, translating stakeholder and analytical requirements into robust data models and technical solutions—while ensuring data is secure, well-governed, high quality, and optimised for performance and usability.
How you will make an impact:
- Design, build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and platforms to support analytics and operational use cases.
- Develop and optimise enterprise data models (Data Vault / Star Schema) within a modern cloud data warehouse environment (Snowflake, Azure).
- Build and manage data transformations, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using dbt, Azure DevOps and Terraform.
- Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, trusted data products.
- Ensure strong data quality, governance and documentation, embedding best practices across the data ecosystem.
- Contribute to a high‑performance, collaborative team culture, challenging the status quo and continuously improving ways of working.
About You
You’re a collaborative and proactive data professional who enjoys working across technical and business teams to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful outcomes. You bring a continuous‑improvement mindset, communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders, and are comfortable influencing change in a dynamic environment.
- 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, with strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Proven experience working with modern cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse) and contemporary data architectures.
- Hands‑on expertise designing and implementing Data Vault and/or Star Schema data models.
- Practical experience building end‑to‑end data pipelines, transformations and data marts using tools such as dbt, with a strong understanding of ETL/ELT principles.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform).
