Senior Data Engineer

Robusta is a tech agency working with a diverse client base across different sectors & industries on implementing digital transformation programs. Engagements are typically focused on digitization of existing operations & processes and/or activation of digital customer engagement channels. With a team of 100+ tech and market consultants, robusta maintains an impactful footprint across EMEA and engages with its clients through its two key operations hubs in Egypt and Germany. 

 Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement high-performance data pipelines and cloud-native solutions.
• Lead integration of diverse data sources while ensuring scalability, stability, and consistency.
• Define and enforce data architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Mentor and oversee junior data engineers, ensuring high code quality and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with data scientists, BI analysts, and business stakeholders to design data models, APIs, and analytical data structures.
• Implement advanced data management techniques including real-time data processing, streaming, and master data management (MDM).
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to data governance policies, security standards, and privacy regulations.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering or data architecture roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and data orchestration frameworks.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with modern data warehouse and big data technologies.
• Proven experience leading data engineering projects and mentoring teams.
