About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Engineer...

In this role, you will:

• Lead moderately complex initiatives within Technology and contribute to large scale data processing framework initiatives related to enterprise strategy deliverables

• Build and maintain optimized and highly available data pipelines that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting

• Review and analyze moderately complex business, operational or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

• Oversee the data integration work, including developing a data model, maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment, and writing scripts for data integration and analysis

• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead teams to meet data engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data information policies, procedures and compliance requirements

• Collaborate and consult with colleagues and managers to resolve data engineering issues and achieve strategic goals

• Lead discussions with business and other partners to understand the business intake request for Test Data generation

• Understand data dependencies and data attributes for CSBB (Consumer and Small Business Banking) data needs

• Source test data from across multiple systems using a variety of applications across CSBB

• Provide support/generate and distribute generated data to support business testing cycles

• Maintain reference data that supports the entire insights and reporting processes, with ease for teams to view data already available for testing

• Develops MIS documentation to allow for smooth operations and easy system maintenance

• Support automation by identifying automation opportunities on existing process and reports

• Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools within the analytics group

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• 2+ years experience generating test data (PDiLL (production data in lower environment) and Synthesized Test Data)

• 1+ year hands on experience working with relational databases

Desired Qualifications:

• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills

• Collaborate strongly with business teams to understand the business problems and provide technical solution

• Good banking domain skills and depth knowledge in risk domain

• Good understanding of data models, relationship among the data

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience in source control using GitHub

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (CS/Math/Electronics/Electricals)

• Should be able to take ownership and accountability

• Should have good leadership skills to collaborate and add value to enterprise solutions

• Agile/Scrum software development methodologies and process experience

• Good end-to-end understanding of platform build and maintenance

• Understanding GenAI use cases, identify and automate them in the project

Pay Range
