Position Description:
The Data Platform team at Ceribell is working on building an enterprise wide data warehouse in Snowflake to curate and host data from various data sources into a single source of truth. We are looking for a passionate and experienced data engineer to help build the data platform to solve analytical needs of various departments and businesses at Ceribell. A successful candidate will bring together strong database programming skills, understanding database fundamentals, familiarity with big data technologies and passion for biomedical applications. This will be a highly cross-functional role, working closely with stakeholders across the lifecycle of our products. This is a hybrid position with an in-office requirement of at least once or twice per week.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and manage data pipelines within the Snowflake cloud data warehouse platform, focusing on tasks like data ingestion, transformation, load, and ensuring efficient data access for analysis and reporting
- Understand the challenges and opportunities within Ceribell and devise solutions to effectively address them
- Meticulously plan and execute on the priorities and roadmap to bring value to end users
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders within and outside the team
- Collaborate with engineers on the team through code and design reviews
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of database development experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on Snowflake platform
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python and Pyspark
- Experience using data ingestion tools such as Fivetran, dbt is preferred
- Experience using source control (Git) and setting up CI/CD process
- Prior experience with PowerBI or Tableau is an added plus
- Prior experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and Jira
- Strong communication and documentation/writing skills
This role requires the employee to be available to work a hybrid schedule and be onsite in our Sunnyvale Headquarters 3X/week.
