- Enterprise-scale workflow orchestration experience, ideally using Apache Airflow or AWS Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow, including dependency management, retries and backfill patterns.
- Advanced SQL capability, including complex analytical queries, query optimisation and set-based problem-solving.
- Strong hands-on Python experience for data engineering, supported by sound software engineering practices such as version control, automated testing, peer review and maintainable code.

- Deep understanding of enterprise data integration across SaaS platforms, APIs, networking environments and complex source systems.
- Exposure to Power BI, including an understanding of how semantic models and reports consume data-platform assets.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction, review designs and code, mentor engineers and promote consistent engineering standards across internal and partner teams.
Highly regarded:
- Experience with Snowflake OpenFlow and Snowflake DCM
