Position Summary
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, data warehousing, or related disciplines.
- Strong experience designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, and modern data warehousing solutions.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and security best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and mentor less experienced engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare, insurance, or highly regulated industries.
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, or similar modern analytical platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
- Experience supporting data science, machine learning, or AI workloads.
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or equivalent event-driven architectures.
- Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Big data and data engineering certifications such as DASCA Associate Big Data Engineer (ABDE) or related credentials.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale data modernization initiatives

The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $166,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
