Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Development & Migration Engineer to support the transformation of our core data processing platform from a legacy system to a modern AWS cloud-native architecture.
This role is critical in ensuring new features are developed on AWS cloud and seamless migration of existing banking clients, maintaining data integrity, and validating end-to-end processing accuracy across systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience in data-intensive systems, migration programs, and financial/banking workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with engineering teams to understand cloud-native architecture and data pipelines
- Support testing of AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, RDS, EMR depending on stack)
- Ensure migration aligns with scalability, performance, and reliability goals
- Lead and support migration of existing clients from legacy systems to the AWS platform
- Develop and execute new features/functionality on the AWS platform
- Coordinate with client stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and minimal disruption
- Design and execute robust data validation frameworks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Perform reconciliation between legacy and target systems
- Validate batch processing, file generation, and downstream outputs for banks
- Build automated validation scripts and tools where applicable
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, product, and client teams
- Strong experience with relational database
- Solid programming experience in Python/Scala (or similar technologies)
- Hands-on experience in data migration, ETL, and data transformation
- Experience with SQL and large-scale data validation
- Working knowledge of AWS ecosystem (S3, RDS, Lambda, Glue, etc.)
- Experience in cloud migration programs (legacy → cloud-native)
- Understanding of distributed systems and data pipelines
- Expertise in data validation techniques and reconciliation processes
- Experience in functional, system, and integration testing for data-heavy applications
- Familiarity with automation tools for testing and validation
- Experience in banking / financial services / payments systems preferred
