Our analytics team is looking for a senior data engineer to play a crucial role in implementing, improving, and influencing five9 business performance and take our BI to next levels. As part of the analytics team you will take ownership of ETL streaming data pipeline; lead onboarding events from large number of sources; contribute to near real-time anomaly detection solutions from high-speed and large volume event streams. You will need design and implement system to provide recommendation on improvement initiatives that continually drives focus to improve the customer experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Taking a lead role to enhance observability into Five9 platform.
- Responsible for anomaly detection based on time-series high-throughput event and root cause analysis.
- Work with large data sets translating business requirements to actionable items.
- Be the owner, report the visual story and help teams deliver impact through data experiences.
- Work with developers, making the data extensible to automate data-driven workloads.
- Help influence and integrate real-time anomaly detection to the underlying ETL pipelines.
- Scope requirements and prioritise accordingly.
- Be responsible for maintaining security and data access models.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software development experience in Java using Spring Boot framework.
- Hands-on experience with SQL or optimisations in NOSQL database.
- Experience with data messaging systems like Kafka, Pub/Sub experience with data serialisation formats like AVRO or PROTOBUF.
- Experience with designing and building highly available and scalable applications in GCP.
- Experience and hands on skills with GCP Products such as Google Big Query, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, App Engine, Cloud SQL.
- Experience and hands on skills with Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experiences working on data streaming services like FLINK/Spark/dataflow is a plus.
- Hands on experience working as part of a Continuous Delivery team who continuously develop, test, deploy and manage production applications on Google Cloud Platform.
- Good understanding of private and public cloud design considerations and limitations in the areas of virtualisation and global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing and networking, event processing, massive data storage and security.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
- An advanced degree in an engineering or a business discipline is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Positive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
