Within our Legal & Compliance Platforms Team, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Senior Data Analyst who is ready to take ownership of advanced solutions in the fields of data engineering, analytics, and AI.
In this role, you will drive the development of intelligent platforms that integrate technologies such as intelligent document processing, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). You will work closely with colleagues from Legal, Compliance, and IT, playing a key role in the full lifecycle of our data-driven and AI-powered solutions.
What would your role be?
- Lead the development and optimization of data pipelines and architectures within Azure.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to design, build and maintain AI-enhanced Legal & Compliance platforms.
- Contribute to the integration of LLM-based tools, document intelligence, and graph databases.
- Take ownership of cloud infrastructure and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance standards are met.
- Support stakeholders through actionable data analysis and intuitive data visualizations.
- Bring a DevOps mindset to ensure smooth and reliable platform operations.
What are we looking for?
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Business IT, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python; experience with R and Java is a plus.
- Solid experience with relational databases, ideally Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar ETL tools.
- Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform).
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including AI tools and data services.
- Experience in requirements engineering and working in agile environments.
- Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., Neo4J) is an advantage.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in English; German is an advantage.
