  • Design, build, test, document, and maintain data models that support business requirements and enable customer-facing and operational analytics to support data-driven decision making around our Warehouse Management Software and SaaS features.
  • Architect and optimise cloud infrastructure to support data-driven initiatives such as A/B testing features, event tracking, and experimentation.
  • Contribute to and enhance our monitoring and observability setup (Grafana, Prometheus, Cloudwatch) to improve system visibility, alerting, and existing service level metrics.
  • Continuously improve the data architecture, adopt new technologies, and stay aligned with the latest industry trends.

Hive is building the leading operations platform for independent commerce and uses our data platform foundations as a key enabler to enhance the value of our multi-product offering. Better commerce operations for merchants, consumers, and our fulfilment network.

What you’ll be doing:
  1. Data pipeline development: Redesign, build, and optimise ETL processes to reduce latency and improve performance for near real-time analytical use cases.
  2. Analytics enhancement: Guide data analysts to develop new data models and reporting solutions in Metabase, providing actionable insights.
  3. Scalable data analytics setup: Help shape and advance a scalable analytics solution to handle increasing data volumes and complex queries efficiently.
  4. Data quality and consistency: Ensure comprehensive data quality and accuracy across all pipelines.
  5. Integration with product infrastructure: Work with engineering teams to integrate data solutions with our product stack, enabling seamless data flow and enhancing our capabilities across the entire platform.

Collaboration across the business: Assess stakeholder needs across the Hive organisation to drive decision-making and technical approaches proactively, ensuring different use cases are covered properly and thoroughly.
