Ferring+You

As a Senior Data Engineer / Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Ferring’s global data ecosystem. You will define and implement enterprise-grade data architecture, design scalable and secure data pipelines, and establish best practices and frameworks that empower data & analytics initiatives across the organization.

You will join at a strategic moment as we modernize our analytics infrastructure, leveraging Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, and Fabric. This is an opportunity to influence architectural decisions, mentor team members, and drive innovation in a global, multicultural environment.

Your day at Ferring

• Architect and deliver robust, scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, and other Azure components.

• Define and enforce standards, methodologies, and frameworks for data engineering and architecture.

• Lead platform evolution, proposing and implementing improvements for performance, security, and scalability.

• Design advanced data models and schemas to enable self-service analytics capabilities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders globally, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and quality standards across all data processes.

Behind our innovation…There’s you

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture roles.

• Proven expertise in Python/Scala, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred).

• Strong knowledge of data warehouse technologies, data modeling, and ELT/ETL design principles.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.

• Hands-on experience with Databricks.

• Familiarity with API integration, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

• Knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and performance optimization.
