Job DescriptionThe Digital Business team is responsible for developing cutting-edge digital solutions for global products and processes, organizing IDIADA information, and providing efficient and reliable data exploitation methods for IDIADA Group and our clients. Our goal is to be recognized as the most digital, innovative, and customer-oriented company, while reducing the cost of digital operations and increasing the value and portfolio of our services.
As a Senior Data Engineer/ Architect, you will be entrusted with critical responsibilities that directly impact our organization's data infrastructure and strategic goals. Your primary duties will include:
- Designing and developing robust database solutions to store and retrieve company information with utmost efficiency and security.
- Conducting thorough analyses of structural requirements for new software and applications to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Executing complex data migration projects from legacy systems to new solutions, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to operations.
- Creating detailed conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts to guide the implementation of data architecture strategies.
- Rigorously testing, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Implementing strategic optimizations for both new and current database systems to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Establishing and enforcing comprehensive security and backup procedures to safeguard critical company data.
- Collaborating closely with the Business Intelligence and Machine Learning teams to identify and address future data needs and requirements.
- Developing and delivering advanced training programs to ensure team adherence to industry best practices and company standards.
- Spearheading Proof of Concept initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and technological advancement.
- Implementing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for development processes and services to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
- Playing a pivotal role in the implementation and execution of our Corporate Data Strategy, aligning data architecture with long-term business objectives.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or equivalent role
- Demonstrated proficiency in time and resource management
- Comprehensive understanding of design and programming principles
- In-depth knowledge of database structure principles
- Proven track record in gathering and analyzing complex system requirements
- Extensive experience with data mining and segmentation techniques
- Advanced expertise in SQL, Python, and AWS Data services
- Exceptional analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI)
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in English and Spanish
