Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Data Engineer (5–8 years) to support large-scale analytics and data transformation initiatives within a global consulting and life-sciences environment.
- Design, build, and maintain DBT models to transform raw data into validated, analytics-ready datasets.
- Develop and optimize end-to-end ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Maintain DBT projects with proper version control, documentation, reviews, and CI/CD integration.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to understand data needs and ensure robust data flows.
- Implement data quality checks, testing, and validation processes.
- Ensure pipelines are scalable, well-structured, and aligned with governance and platform standards.
- Support troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with DBT Core or DBT Cloud.
- Proven background designing and maintaining ELT workflows.
- Expert Python skills for data manipulation, automation, and transformations.
- Exposure to CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
- Ability to work in international teams across time zones (US Central Time collaboration required).
- Strong analytical mindset, structured communication, and problem-solving skills.
