Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect with a passion for Cloud Data Architecture and a fundamental understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a critical role in shaping our data-driven strategy, driving innovation, and optimizing our global operations.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop cloud-based data architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, and security to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive, high-level architectural designs.
Lead the evaluation and selection of cloud platforms and technologies to ensure the best-fit solutions for Maersk's evolving data needs.
Hands-on implementation and deployment of data solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Oversee the integration of data from various sources, both structured and unstructured, to enable real-time data processing and analytics.
Promote data governance, data quality, and data security best practices across the organization.
Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to incorporate AI/ML capabilities into the data architecture and enable data-driven insights.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adopting emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance data solutions.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (at least 10 years) as a Solution Architect, with a focus on Cloud Data Architecture.
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and hands-on experience with cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, Azure Data Factory, Google BigQuery).
Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration patterns.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or sci-kit-learn, and their application in data-driven solutions.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex technical challenges, and develop innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Certification in cloud platforms or relevant technologies will be an advantage.
