This is a remote position.
A public-sector organization is seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to support data architecture, data modelling, information management, and modernization initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.
The successful candidate will provide senior-level expertise in designing and defining data architectures, developing logical and physical data models, and applying Kimball dimensional modelling principles. The role will also involve working with justice-sector systems, including JOIN (Justice Online Information Network) and JIMS, while ensuring alignment with applicable information management, cybersecurity, privacy, and data governance requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with complex enterprise data environments and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
Skills Required
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Management, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience defining data architecture and applying Kimball dimensional modelling methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience developing data models using SAP/Sybase PowerDesigner or comparable data modelling/architecture tools.
- 3+ years of experience working with JOIN (Justice Online Information Network) and JIMS.
- 2+ years of experience working within or supporting court environments.
- 2+ years of experience working in or with public-sector environments.
- 1+ year of experience working with information management and cybersecurity policies, directives, standards, and practices.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, data modelling, data integration, and information management.
- Experience with structured query languages, including SQL.
- Recent training or professional development related to Cloud Computing.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with at least 5 years of experience conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
