Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Data Analytics Manager to lead analytics for the Americas Compliance Analytics branch of the Compliance & Internal Audit Analytics team at Wise.
You’ll partner with 2nd line Compliance in North America and Latin America to ensure they can execute against the Compliance regulatory reporting schedule, as well as leveraging data to proactively monitor risks. You’ll lead a team of 3-4 analysts, so your time will be split between hands-on work (40%) and leadership responsibilities (60%).
The Compliance Analytics team supports Compliance by using analytics to provide more coverage, efficiency and accuracy to testing and monitoring, as well as building innovative tools and using automation to support regulatory reporting and other Compliance activities.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Partnering with stakeholders across the Compliance function covering all regions, products and domains of the business (including Financial Crime, Ops, Risk, Finance and IT)
Taking ownership of the engagement model between analytics and Compliance for delivering regulatory reporting and moving towards building automated pipelines for recurring reports
Identifying & implementing opportunities to do the most impactful analytics within testing projects and influencing and upskilling your partners in Compliance to do the same
Defining and tracking KPIs to measure the team’s success and impact
Championing innovation and data-driven insights across all Compliance activities where analytics can add value
Leading automation and tooling projects to increase efficiency across Compliance
5+ years of experience in data analytics
2+ years of experience building, coaching and leading analysts
Advanced stakeholder management skills; you know how to leverage multiple different teams to deliver high-impact change
Extensive experience using SQL; you can build and maintain complex data sources and can leverage visualisation tools (Looker, Superset, etc) to surface insights
You have built reporting outputs, creating advanced SQL scripts based on requirements communicated by stakeholders
Experience using data engineering tools (GitHub, dbt, Airflow etc.) to transform messy data into clean and efficient pipelines and you know how to produce comprehensive data documentation
You understand the importance of data integrity, quality & governance. You know how to produce comprehensive data documentation
Meticulous & disciplined approach towards accuracy of data outputs
You are able to prioritise your own and your team’s work and independently manage competing priorities
You can contribute your own ideas to influence the team’s strategic roadmap
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
Experience in Compliance analytics testing or Internal Audit analytics
Experience using dbt
Knowledge of Python
Financial services experience
