Fundamentally, the Senior Data Analyst is about helping us figure things out: how our users use our product, the impact of new features, how we’re performing, and more.
This role is for someone who can start with a question, dig in to figure out how to answer it, explore and understand data in a self-directed way, generate meaningful insight, and share that insight with others in a clear and compelling way. We need someone who approaches a question with curiosity and gusto, who, if they don’t know something, is driven to work on it and figure it out. We need someone who can explore and experiment.

What You’ll Be Working On:- Data Exploration & Insight Generation: Autonomously investigate complex datasets to identify trends, user behaviors, and the performance impact of new product features.
- Strategic Problem Solving: Transform high-level business questions into actionable research plans, utilizing a self-directed approach to uncover meaningful answers.
- Data Visualization & Storytelling: Design and develop clear, compelling visual representations of data that translate technical findings into easily digestible insights for diverse stakeholders.
- Product Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate how users interact with the product to provide data-backed recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a bridge between raw data and decision-makers by asking probing questions and presenting findings with clarity and gusto.
- Experience:
- You have 5+ years of data analysis/business intelligence experience.
- You have experience partnering cross-functionally, e.g., with product, engineering, and operations.
- You have a demonstrated track record of influencing business decisions through data.
- Technical Skills:
- You have advanced SQL expertise. You understand window functions, CTEs, and complex data transformations.
- You can tinker with Python or a comparable language.
- You have strong proficiency with a popular BI application such as Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight, or anything comparable.
- You have strong data modeling fundamentals and experience building scalable, reusable datasets.
- You impress people with your spreadsheet skills. XLOOKUPs are second-nature for you, as are pivot tables.
- Analytical Leadership:
- You can independently scope and lead complex analytical projects from start to finish.
- You have strong statistical intuition and comfort evaluating experiments.
- You have experience mentoring junior analysts or setting best practices for analysis and reporting.
- You have a strong commitment to data quality, rigor, and reproducibility.

- You are deeply curious and learn rapidly and eagerly.
- You are comfortable in ambiguity and are able to bring structure where none exists.
- You have high standards for accuracy, clarity, and impact.

- You effectively communicate insights. You can explain complex topics in simple language and visuals.
The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 USD per year for full time team members.
